The Carron Fish Bar is an award winning, family run fish and chip shop located in the heart of Stonehaven.
Lorraine and Charles Watson took over the business in March 2012 and since then they have worked tirelessly with their team to create fantastic fish and chips with a smile.

The shop currently holds the NFFF Fish and Chips Quality Award, this is an industry recognised award for best practice and service.

In September 2019, the Carron Fish Bar was awarded Scotland's No.1 Fish and Chip shop in The National Fish and Chip Awards 2020!
Awards
The National Fish and Chip Awards recognise the nations best fish and chip shops.
This year we entered the competition for the first time and have been crowned Scotlands No. 1 Fish and Chip Shop!
The Fish & Chip Quality Award is an industry recognised award for best practice and service.
It is the industry equivalent of a Michelin Star.
We were awarded the Quality award on the 23rd of May 2019!
The Fry Magazine's Top 50 Takeaway Award recognises the nations 50 best takeaways.
We were listed as one of the Top 50 takeaways in 2017 and 2019!
The Drywite Young Fish Frier of the Year award recognises the industries young talent.
This year, our young Frier Jamie Russo got to the semi final stage, and finished as one of Scotland's Top 3 Young Friers!

In 2015, our young frier (not so young anymore) Murray Watson reached the semi final stage as well, and finished as Scotland's No.1 Young Frier!

We are part of the Refill Aberdeenshire Scheme.
In an attempt to reduce the number of single use plastic bottles being used, we are offering our shop as a refill station, where you can get your water bottles refilled.
Just ask a member of staff to fill up your bottle for you.
