A Family Business: Three Generations Strong

Fourteen years ago, Lorraine and Charlie took a leap of faith and bought the local chip shop. What started as a small, community-focused venture quickly grew into something much more: a true family business built on dedication, trust, and a shared love for serving their community.

Over the years, the shop became a familiar fixture in the neighbourhood-a place where people not only picked up their Fish & Chips but also stopped for a friendly chat and a warm smile. Lorraine, Charlie and Murray poured their hearts into it, and their passion became a family legacy.

Now, three generations are working together—not just in the original shop, but also in the newest addition to the business: a fish and chips van that’s already winning loyal customers. With children and grandchildren stepping in, the business continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. Everyone plays their part, whether it’s behind the counter, preparing fresh food, managing orders, or keeping the van running smoothly.

It’s not always easy—running a family business means long hours and the occasional disagreement—but it also means shared success, pride, and the knowledge that everything is being built together, for each other.
For Lorraine and Charlie, watching the next generations take part isn’t just rewarding—it’s the realization of a dream: a family business that has grown not just in size, but in spirit.
